The Honorable A. Clark Jett was recently appointed by Governor Mary Fallin to serve as the new Associate District Judge for Texas County, Oklahoma.  I was able to attend the swearing-in ceremony today in Guymon, Oklahoma.  I congratulate him on the new position.

The Honorable Ryan D. Reddick, who previously filled the position, resigned as Associate District Judge of Texas County, Oklahoma after his appointment by Governor Mary Fallin to serve as the new Associate District Judge for Beaver County, Oklahoma.

I practice mainly in Guymon, Oklahoma and the surrounding communities of Texas County, Oklahoma.  The Associate District Judge of Texas County is the Judge that I most often appear in front of – particularly in probate and estate matters.  In addition, the Associate District Judge in this county makes important decisions in family law matters, certain criminal proceedings, mental health cases, and many other areas.  It is a position that has a great impact on the community.

I have been a colleague of Clark Jett since I moved back to Guymon to practice law.  I now look forward to practicing in front of him as Judge Jett.  I have every confidence he will serve honorably in the office of Associate District Judge.
