Lone Wolf District Pinewood Derby in Guymon

Guymon, Oklahoma recently hosted the Lone Wolf District Pinewood Derby races for Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts throughout the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles.  There were lots of great cars and lots of great racing.

However, in addition, many in the community took time and effort to provide additional activities and events for the kids.  It added a lot to the day.  The kids had a great time.  And those folks deserve a big thank you.

Several veterans brought out military vehicles for the kids to explore. 

Apollo MedFlight flew in a helicopter, which was a big hit with all ages.

Local officers gave demonstrations of drug dogs and their unique training and skills.

Thanks to everyone who helped make it a great day for Scouts in the area.
